Professional Bio

  • For more than a decade, Melissa McNamee, a Partner at The Wagner Law Group, has practiced exclusively within immigration law.  She is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese and focuses on business and family immigration matters in the areas of:

    Prior to joining The Wagner Law Group, Melissa served as corporate counsel to Novell, Inc., where she was responsible for the inbound and outbound transfer of more than 200 employees per year, as well as immigration issues related to mergers and acquisitions with a budget of $1 million.

    Melissa also maintained a solo law practice based in Massachusetts and Florida and has counseled a Fortune 500 client, and tier-one universities on immigration matters. In addition, she has taught classes on immigration law at the University of Miami School of Law and Florida International University Law School.

    Her current service project is as Clinic Coordinator and Member of the Board of Directors of Justice for Our Neighbors, which provides free or low-cost legal services to poor immigrants, refugees and persons seeking asylum.
